Cowles Introduces Trust Plus® Express – A NEW Option in the Cowles Estate Planning Product Line

Eau Claire, Wisconsin (August 17, 2004) – Cowles Legal Systems, Inc. has introduced a new pricing option for its Trust Plus® estate planning system. Trust Plus Express allows practitioners access to the automated estate planning documents that are the foundation of Cowles’ systems – but with a lower investment. Documents are built phrase by phrase through selections on a checklist, which can be completed during the initial client appointment. This allows the attorney to draft custom, comprehensive estate plans, while delegating data entry to an assistant if desired. Cowles’ software engine was designed specifically for generation of estate planning documents – with all documents integrated so trusts, wills, powers of attorney, funding documents, correspondence, and invoicing are all created with one-time data entry – and all documents are consistent and coordinated. Supporting documents are state specific. Trust Plus and Trust Plus Express work in conjunction with either Word or WordPerfect.

“Trust Plus Express is meant for the attorney who wants limited investment until a system has proven itself, or who wants to offer high quality, custom estate planning documents, but isn’t doing large volume” says Cowles president Colleen Cowles. With Express , estate plans are assigned a credit value. For an investment of $1,000, Trust Plus Express subscribers receive 1,000 credits for use within a year. An estate plan including a will, financial power of attorney, health care directive, community property agreement (where applicable), invoice, correspondence, and a will organizer is worth 75 credits. An individual revocable trust with all supporting documents – plus funding documents and correspondence – is 150 credits. Joint trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and individual supporting documents are also available.
